Woman Charged in Gainesville Murder

GAINESVILLE - A 22-year-old woman has been charged with killing a 26-year-old Gainesville man. Early Monday morning, Eveccio Ballard was stabbed and was later pronounced dead at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

 

FROM THE GAINESVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT:

The Gainesville Police Department has charged Lisheena Kinanna Cantrell, age 22 of Gainesville, GA with Murder in the death of Eveccio Ballard. In addition she has been charged with Battery resulting from the initial altercation with a Tacheen Collins. She has been released to officials at the Hall County Detention Center.

On September 5, 2011, Gainesville Police responded to 1640 Roper Hill Road at approximately 1:00 am in regards to a disturbance. Once officers arrived on the scene, it was determined that an altercation had taken place, between three individuals. One of the individuals had been stabbed during the altercation. The victim in this incident was transported by a friend to the North East Georgia Medical Center prior to officer’s arrival. The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The victim is identified as Eveccio Ballard, age 26, of Gainesville, GA.
