At 5:20 p.m., March 16, a person entered the Gwinnett Federal Credit Union, located at 4250 Lexington Road, and approached a teller. He handed the teller a hand-written note demanding money in certain denominations. She complied, but before she could pull the bait money to trigger an alarm, the subject turned and left. The suspect is described as a Black Male, heavy-set, wearing a red t-shirt, dark blue or black pants and a black baseball hat. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash. (Case # 12-03-1048)
Timothy HOOPER, 41, and Carol HOOPER, 40 Wynn Shoals Road, Alto, were in a room at the Bulldog Inn located on Commerce Road. A thin, Black Male with tattoos on his arms and neck, came to their room asking for change. When Mr. HOOPER told him he did not have the change he needed, the subject threatened him with a small crow bar and took Mr. HOOPER’s wallet. During the course of the robbery, Mrs. HOOPER was pushed to the floor by the suspect. The suspect initially identified himself to the victims as “Chris”, but another person at the scene identified him as “Shawn”. The suspect left the location in a large, dual-cab, gold pickup truck traveling south towards the GA Loop 10. (Case # 12-03-1083
Samuel ACOSTA, 45, reported his Glendale Heights residence was entered through a forced-open rear window and several items of jewelry were taken. (Case # 12-03-1044)
Lashonda JOHNSON, 27, reported her North Bluff Place residence was entered through a broken rear window and a flat-screen TV was stolen. (Case # 12-03-1045)
ACCPD officers were at Vine East Apartments, 524 Vine Street, investigating an incident. When an officer walked past an open door, he looked in to see a person known to him standing at a table covered with marijuana and packaging material. The officer contacted the subject, and during the investigation, the subject tried to flee and a struggle ensued. When additional officers arrived on scene, the subject was subdued and handcuffed, but not until he had thrown several clear, plastic baggies off of the landing. A quantity of marijuana and related items were recovered. Lamar Edward LASSITER, 19, Martin Court, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Tampering with Evidence, Simple Battery on a Police Officer and Obstruction of Police Officers.
ACCPD officers responded to the Hallmark Mobile Home Park, 705 Spring Valley Road, to investigate a report of a man with a gun. While searching the area for the gunman, officers witnessed a female inside one of the units “playing” with a large plastic bag of what they recognized as marijuana. Contact was made with the female and a quantity of marijuana was recovered. Ciara Aneshia EVANS, 21, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute. Aldricus Bernard FLEMING, 25, was also charged. In addition to the marijuana, also recovered were digital scales, a grinder and several plastic baggies. A GPS ankle monitor was also recovered, which FLEMING stated he had cut off of his ankle. (Case # 12-03-1063)
