NORTHEAST GEORGIA - The 2012 election season is underway as candidates start to qualify for political positions. Among those who already signed up: State Rep. Doug McKillip (R-Athens) and his challenger Regina Quick, a G.O.P. lawyer from Athens. The qualifying period ends Friday at noon.
