ATHENS - A judge handed out prison sentences to five men who claimed they were just pulling a prank. Last year the defendants, armed with pellet guns and an unloaded gun, robbed three teenagers of marijuana. Athens-Clarke police say the incident could have had a violent ending, because the officer who stopped the mens' vehicle thought they were properly armed.

The five received 15-year sentences, two of which will be served behind bars.
