ATHENS - Jamie Hood wants his case tried outside of Clarke County. The admitted cop killer is facing the death penalty for shooting Athens-Clarke senior police officers Elmer Christian and Tony Howard in March 2011.
Christian died in the incident, but Howard survived.
Hood is also requesting a new judge for his case, saying Judge Lawton Stephens is biased.
Friday's scheduled hearing to determine if Stephens should be recused was postponed Thursday afternoon. No word on when it will take place.
