WUGA-TV chronicles the rebirth of the iconic, legendary music venue in Athens following a fire that virtually destroyed its structure…but not its spirit. Grand opening celebrations for the Georgia Theater are August 1 – 14, so tune in for this exclusive half-hour sneak preview!

The Magic and Music are Back! premiers July 26th at 9p. Repeat broadcasts air on July 28th at 9p, July 30th at 8:30p, July 31st at 6:30p and August 1st at 12:30p and 5:30p.

Host Charlie McAlexander takes viewers on a recap of the rebuilt historic theatre which has welcomed to its stage such notable musicians as R.E.M., Sea Level, the B-52s, David Alan Coe, the Kinchafoonee Cowboys and Widespread Panic. Show guests will include keyboardist Chuck Leavell, who has performed with such bands as The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and the Allman Brothers. Georgia Theater owner Wilmot Green will share his two-year journey to rebuild the Georgia Theater along with his plans for a show-stopping future.
